I have combined my 7 years of design and CGI with my love of lettering and textures, to create 3D Lettering. Internationally regarded as innovative and eye-catching, my letters can bring your ideas to life in a way that stops your audience in their tracks.
This process ensures that the best work is achieved and everyone is on the same page
The questionnaire is one of the most important tools of the process. In order to find the solutions, we must first know what we are trying to solve. Even if the project is a whimsical quote poster, and the goal is simply to bring joy to people, there is still a problem to solve. I designed a thorough and detailed list of clarifying questions to benefit the client and lead to the best results. The questions provided will steer the course of the project. The more thorough the client is when filling out the questionnaire, the more the project can run smoothly and efficiently.
When the client and I are done with thorough discussion on the project, I submit a design proposal which goes over everything we’ve talked about. The agreement includes what the client can expect from me, the deliverables, when the deliverables will be sent, and more. Once the proposal has been reviewed and signed, and I have received the deposit, I can begin the designing process.
I’ll bring all my ideas and thoughts for your design into a mood board. Then we’ll have a meeting to discuss the art direction I’ve chosen for your project. Once approved and we are on the same page, the sketching phase can begin.
In the sketching phase, I put down all ideas that come to me with an open mind. Out of the many pages and possible directions, I take 2-3 of the best ideas for further tuning and exploration. The best conceptualizing is done without the limitation of the computer. Depending on what the job entails, sometimes initial CGI tests are done to get a feel for the textures, materials, and moods in 3D. All of this is refined down to one concept that I've deemed best to achieve the client's goals.
Once the idea is fully fleshed out, this is the point when they are brought into the 3D world. I spend a lot of time modeling, placing, texturing, lighting, and getting the right camera angles for the concept. I spend hours and hours refining all the details and post-processing until it is just right.
When the design is done, I provide the client with a detailed brief, documenting the creative process along with a full case study. I explain every decision behind the direction of the final design to match the goals that were set in the beginning. The workable files will be delivered upon receipt of the final payment, which will be detailed in the invoice sent with the final presentation.
